Super Marathon, released in 1996.
Aleph One (formerly Marathon engine) is a game engine that was originally developed by Bungie for their Marathon Trilogy.
History[]
The first two games based on Bungie's Marathon engine were modified to run on the Pippin @WORLD console and were sold together as Super Marathon in 1996.[1]
Prior to its acquisition by Microsoft in 2000, Bungie released the source code to the Marathon 2 engine and the resulting open-source project became known as Aleph One.[2] Using an updated version of this engine,[3] the entire Marathon Trilogy was later ported to iOS.[4]
