Blessed by the Sun, vol.1 (お日さまのおくりもの vol.1) is a CD-ROM-based cultural edutainment title that had been announced for the Pippin Atmark console.[1]

Features[]

Cultures from around the world are presented through folk tales, history, and greetings from member countries of the United Nations.[2] The stories were compiled by the United Nations Women's Guild, organized by the wives of the respective UN ambassadors. The first volume focused on five Northern European countries, adapted by Mikako Kihara (木原美香子) and narrated by Nachi Nozawa (野沢那智) with art by Seiji Fujishiro (藤城清治) and animated by Masayuki "Mad" Amano (天野正行).[3]

Release status[]

Blessed by the Sun was developed by Quake (クエイク) and had been bundled with Macintosh Performa computers released in Japan.[2][4] Though it had been announced in Bandai's Pippin Title CD-ROM Catalog for Spring 1996,[1] a Pippin version was not released by Nankin (ぬぷん), the publisher.[5]
