Das Rheingold (ラインの黄金) is a CD-ROM-based edutainment title that had been announced for Pippin Atmark,[1] set in the world of Richard Wagner's musical drama of the same name.[2]
Release status[]
Developed by Media5 (メディアファイブ) as a follow up of their Don Quixote edutainment series,[1] Das Rheingold was first released in Japan in May 1996 as hybrid discs for Macintosh and Windows.[3]
A Pippin version had been announced by Bandai for 1996,[1] but does not appear to have been released.[4][5]
Das Rheingold was later adapted as an online web application.[2]
