Surf Monkey is a web portal and custom browser for kids that was released by Bandai Digital Entertainment.[1][2]

Releases[]

Surf Monkey was based on Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 and developed by MediaLive! It was originally scheduled for release by Bandai Digital Entertainment in October 1997,[1] but entered beta testing in February 1998 and was pushed back to April 29.[2][3]

With the discontinuation of the Pippin platform and the @WORLD Browser,[4] Bandai Digital Entertainment migrated the SurfWatch web blocker into Surf Monkey.[5]
