L-Zone was first released in December 1992 by Synergy for Macintosh and Windows 3.1 in Japan.[2] In 1993, it was released in the United States by Synergy's American subsidiary, Synergy Interactive.[3] The Pippin port, titled L-Zone Interactive Theater,[4] was released in Japan by Bandai Digital Entertainment in March 1996.[5]
Director Haruhiko Shono's next project was Gadget: Invention, Travel, & Adventure, which was also ported to the Pippin platform.[6]
