Lunicus (ルニカス) is a CD-ROM-based adventure game for Macintosh and Windows 3.1.[1] A Pippin version had been described in media coverage as being in development,[2] but is not known to have been released.[3]
Features[]
The gameplay takes place on a moon base, from which missions are staged to combat aliens on Earth.[4]
Releases[]
Lunicus was authored with DreamFactory by CyberFlix and initially self-published in April 1993 for Macintosh and Windows 3.1.[5] It was awarded 1993 CD-ROM game of the year by MacWorld magazine. Paramount Interactive was then signed as the publisher for the United States.[6] Bandai Emotion released the official Japanese version,[7] in which the characters were redesigned by manga artist Katsuhiro Otomo (大友克洋).[8]
