Pippin @WORLD box set PW-20000

Contents of a Pippin @WORLD 3-box set (PW-20000).

Pippin consoles were released in varying sets.

Pre-release[]

Main article: Pippin Power Player
  • Power Player developer set - Black box with green "@" emblem and marked "NOT FOR SALE", containing a prototype 14.4 kbps modem, pre-release beta software and SDKs.[1] Seeded to developers and market testers in December 1995.[2][3]

Japan[]

  • Special "Network set" (「ネットワークセット」) - Red and navy blue box, containing a 14.4 kbps modem and "Disk 6" CD-ROM set in black sleeve. Launched on March 28, 1996 through 300 retailers. MSRP JP¥ 64,800.[4]
  • "Pippin Atmark body set" (「ピピン@アットマーク」「本体セット」) - Red and navy blue box, containing a "Disk 4" CD-ROM set in orange sleeve. Released on June 15, 1996. MSRP JP¥ 49,800.[5]

United States[]

Set PW-20010 contained box 1 and 2 of the following for MSRP US$ 499. A larger set PW-20000 contained all three for MSRP US$ 599.[6][7]

  • 1: Console
  • 2: Accessories - Contained the AppleJack controllers; larger sets also included a keyboard.
  • 3: Modem & CD-ROMs - Included a Motorola 28.8 kbps modem. Smaller sets included the modem and bundled discs in box 2, in place of the keyboard.
