The Journeyman Project 2: Buried in Time is a CD-ROM-based time travel adventure game that had been announced for the Pippin and PlayStation consoles.[1][2]

Development history[]

Work on The Journeyman Project 2 commenced after the successful release of the original game by Presto Studios in January 1993.[3] Sanctuary Woods released the sequel in the United States on June 30, 1995 in a set of 3 CD-ROMs.[4] The sets were released separately (not hybrid) for Macintosh or Windows, as only the former was authored in Macromedia Director.[5] A Japanese version for Windows was released by Bandai's Emotion Digital Software in November 1995.[4]

The Journeyman Project 2: Buried in Time was promoted with a Pippin Power Player prototype at Macworld Expo Tokyo '95,[1] but does not appear to have been released for that platform.[6][7] Bandai Digital Entertainment instead promoted a remake of the preceding game, titled The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime, on their website for Pippin @WORLD and shipped a Power Macintosh version in 1997.[8]
